Lemon & Turmeric Smoothie

Yellow is the new green. Fire up your taste buds with this bright, fun, energetic and zesty drink! Go ahead, you can thank me later.

After a mid day pick me up? This smoothie is zesty and fun while also being a great for reducing inflammation in the body! Bright and tangy this smoothie will have you jumping for joy.


Ingredients

Frozen banana

I serving of protein powder

1 cup of your favourite milk (sub some of this out for water if you prefer a less thick smoothie)

Zest of 1/2 a lemon

Juice of 1 lemon

1 tablespoon of honey/agave (as desired)

1-1 1/2 teaspoons of turmeric

Ice


Methods

Throw all you ingredients into a blender and watch the magic happen. Get creative with the amounts of each ingredient you use. I prefer a sour lemon taste so I added in all the lemon mentioned above while only adding in a little honey. I also added a bunch of turmeric to get the bright yellow colour.
